Who Am I?
The publication is authored by Ryan Baker, an IT professional and software architect, with 30 years of experience, currently working at Amazon Web Services (AWS), advising clients in the financial industry.

While my professional history explains my expertise in software, cloud computing, and AI, my focus on economics and urban development stems from decades of personal interest and independent study. Mostly this means reading, but I’ve also had the privilege of some personal connections that have deepened those experiences.
Along the way, I’ve picked up other interests, cities and economies being two prominent ones. I’ve also always had a deep interest in a better world and what I could do to make that a reality. Amongst other motivations, combining those is one of the motivations for writing.
